Mr. Mansoori-Dara was educated in the United Kingdom, obtaining a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Cambridge in 2004. His primary areas of study were criminal law, constitutional law, human rights law, and the law of evidence.

 

After returning to Canada, Mr. Mansoori-Dara completed his articling program with Hope Heinrich LLP, during which he gained experience in a wide range of complex criminal cases including murder, sex assault and drug files.

 

From 2008 to 2010 Mr. Mansoori-Dara worked at Baker Newby LLP as a federal prosecutor. He ultimately held the position of Administrative Crown, overlooking all aspects of federal prosecutions in the North Fraser Valley. As a result of that experience, Mr. Mansoori-Dara gained expertise in the law involving the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

 

In August 2010, Mr. Mansoori-Dara joined Mines and Company where he focused on criminal defence work.

 

Mr. Mansoori-Dara is an active member of the Canadian Bar Association’s Vancouver Criminal Law subsection. On a monthly basis, he contributes valuable work, analyzing the emerging case law and writing case law summaries for his fellow criminal law practitioners.

 

He continues to work regularly as an ad hoc Crown Prosecutor conducting a wide range of Criminal Code prosecutions on behalf of the Attorney General of British Columbia.

 

Drawing on his considerable experience as a Crown Prosecutor and his excellent legal research skills, Mr. Mansoori-Dara has the necessary legal knowledge and courtroom skills to achieve the best possible results for his clients.
